Sleep, it’s all about routine!

Unlike Archie dog, some of us have trouble snoozing and sleeping, whether it's getting to sleep, staying asleep or not being able to get up after sleeping heavily or too long - yes, too long can be problematic too! So what are the tips and tricks to sleep?

Like most things, keep it Simple!

“I've tried everything to improve my sleep!!!"

Good habits to start catching those 💤💤💤

  • Phone off, brush teeth, hop into bed

  • Do the same thing every night

  • Go to bed at the same time

  • Get up at the same time

  • Weekdays and weekends still means the same time

  • Sleep in a quiet, dark, calm athmospere

  • Room temperature matters, cooler not hotter

  • No TVs, computers, or smart phones in the bedroom

  • Making your body deal with large meals, caffeine, and alcohol just before sleeping, your just asking too much

  • Fresh air and exercise during the day can help you fall asleep more easily, but don't do it too close to bedtime

  • If you get annoyed, tossing and turning your waking yourself up more, give yourself 20 minutes to fall into sleep

  • If your conking out too quick it could mean your over tired, messing with your sleep cycles

  • If sleep is difficult, give yourself permission to rest the body and calm the mind, where sleep is not the "must do" it can come quicker with a more gentle approach

Most of us are lucky and if we work with the above tips we can get our sleep to a healthy place. Some of us however have something else going on that's disturbing our slumber, and if that's you, please talk to a professional and get the sleep you need 2live.
